Oh How Time FLIES...

I could not believe that it had been a whole 5 years since I walked across the graduation stage and left high school far behind, but lo and behold... it surely had. During the Ute Stampede celebrations ( which are a big deal in little Nephi ) I was able to go to our class reunion. It was really nice to catch up with those I haven't seen in a while. Some looked the same as I remember, others had changed a lot... and there were even a couple who I didn't even hardly remember at all, oops!  There were only 20 or so of our actual classmates that showed up sadly, but many brought spouses and even a few brought some kiddos along.

A few of my high school girlfriends; Erin, Hilary, Lauren... and myself.

Just about everyone who showed up, missing 5 or so...

Hopefully in the next 5 years more people will realize they want to come to the next reunion...

A Whole New Meaning...

In all honestly, the fourth of July has never been a big deal at my house... growing up it was the day we ran around with sparklers, threw pop its at each other and watched the city fireworks at grandmas house.... but that was it. We never really talked about the true meaning of the holiday and heros of our country. I guess it must be because we haven't ever had any family in the military and it didn't seem like a big deal. BUT, this day has more meaning than ever.... My amazing husband is deployed for our country and in the past few years I have learned a great deal about the military and how it works.
I look back and feel guilty for never seeing and recognizing the importance of this day before. I looked out my window this morning and saw the American Flag lining the street on our and many other neighbors lawns, I saw the big yellow ribbon tied around our tree, I saw Jeff's dog tags hanging from my mirror and... I saw my husband (not literally there)  but I saw his face in everything. HE is the meaning in MY celebration of this day. I couldn't help but cry and think about what an amazing person he is, not only because he is my AMERICAN HERO, but because of the man he is. He represents everything that is important to me. My best friend, my husband, my rock, my sounding block, my lover, my parenting partner, my eternal companion, my everything, MY HERO! I could not ask for a better person to call "mine" for eternity.
So to my husband, thankyou for EVERYTHING you do, everything you do for our country and especially for everything you do for Livvi and I. We are the luckiest girls in the world, seriously! I love you more than words can describe!

The day WILL come when I can take this down and be with my hero again, I KNOW this too shall pass...

Silly Summer

Danielle and I  have been laying out this month.... but decided that laying out on the grass needed a pool to go along with it... it is simply much too hot and much too boring without some water :) Can't beat the dollar store!

...And hooray! 23 weeks! :) It finally seems to be going by fast!

Just What I Needed...

Our little NAUGHTY PANTS...

This week was my "BIG ULTRASOUND" appointment at the doctors office... which was so much fun! However, I think our little Miss Livvi is going to be a little naughty pants... this was her second ultrasound, the first was a gender check, and BOTH times she was such a little stinker! It took the tech 30 minutes to find out if we had a little lady or a little man! The more the tech would try to get her to stretch out her legs, the tighter she curled them up, seriously... NAUGHTY (or possibly very proper/shy... I keep telling myself).

Anyways, at this weeks appointment, the tech was able to look at all her organs and the chambers of her heart, the blood flow, all her little bones, etc and everything was working perfectly and she is right on schedule.... BUT when it came to looking at her face/head... Let's just say it was a "challenge". Our little stinker had her head clear down by my right hip bone and would not come out! The ultrasound tech was pushing SO HARD... I wanted to cry! She was like, "I am so sorry, I must be hurting you because my wrist is getting sore just trying to get in there, your little girl is so snotty"  .... Uh DUH! Yeah you are hurting me woman! Ouch!... oh and  I DO NOT like having my baby being called SNOTTY, Ugh! Not okay... Eventually she moved a bit and the tech was able to check her head and brain, but wasn't ever able to get a cute little profile picture... Bummer! Here are the pictures she did get though! Awe, she is so cute already, I just can't wait to meet her!

She was waving her little arm back and fourth, tender!

This was as much as she was going to give us of her little face.

Awe...

 Just to double check ;)

My life has been so crazy lately! I feel like I have 5000 things to do and can never get them all done, so needless to say, I forgot to post this when I took it, but here is the BUMP at 20 weeks (now I am almost 22 weeks, whoops!).

From Trash to Treasure :)

I cannot keep myself busy enough these days so I end up buying "cheap junk" from DI and glamming it up... admittedly this is one of my favorite games ;)  I found these beauties and spent a whopping $7 out the door. Let the transformation begin!

With a bit of paint, some ribbon, and a few other things I had laying around... Wah-lah!!
A pretty lamp and a baby bow rack for our room :) Seriously LOVE! They couldn't have turned out any better!

Sweet Dreams

I was having the HARDEST time finding a crib that wasn't too expensive and simple... but last week we went to Burlington and found the perfect one for Livvi. And.... I have had my eye on this ADORABLE bedding (which Jeff really likes too) so when I got an awesome coupon in the mail from Babies 'R Us for crib sets, I just couldn't help myself! I love the animal print! SUPER CUTE!

Livvi's "Daddy Army Bear" that sits in the window above her bed :)
It makes me feel like he is here watching over her
