From Trash to Treasure :)

I cannot keep myself busy enough these days so I end up buying "cheap junk" from DI and glamming it up... admittedly this is one of my favorite games ;)  I found these beauties and spent a whopping $7 out the door. Let the transformation begin!

With a bit of paint, some ribbon, and a few other things I had laying around... Wah-lah!!
A pretty lamp and a baby bow rack for our room :) Seriously LOVE! They couldn't have turned out any better!

Sweet Dreams

I was having the HARDEST time finding a crib that wasn't too expensive and simple... but last week we went to Burlington and found the perfect one for Livvi. And.... I have had my eye on this ADORABLE bedding (which Jeff really likes too) so when I got an awesome coupon in the mail from Babies 'R Us for crib sets, I just couldn't help myself! I love the animal print! SUPER CUTE!

Livvi's "Daddy Army Bear" that sits in the window above her bed :)
It makes me feel like he is here watching over her

SSG Jeffry Yon -- My HERO

Jeff left for a year long deployment on June 4th... This was by far the hardest day of my life! It was all I could do to actually let go of him and watch him walk away. I know that what he is doing is for the good of our country and to better us as a couple and family... but geez, it is pretty rough, but I also know that he will be protected by the Lord and that this too shall pass.We can do it! I just want to publicly thank him for EVERYTHING he does for our baby girl and I. He is everything to me and I couldn't ask for a more brave, humble, loving, hardworking, perfect man to call my husband! He is truly my HERO!

My HERO.

Major Project #1

So I decided that since I would be living back with my parents while Jeff is gone that I needed a major "project" to work on to stay busy.... well the use of this project is two-fold. I needed something to do and I also needed a place to put the baby's clothes and some of our stuff.

This ugly thing was a FREE entertainment center before I began. I didn't get a picture before we tore it apart, but it had glass doors in the middle and ugly arches on the sides that my wonderful hubby and grandpa cut off. This was the beginning of priming...

then, I painted it "Apple Candy Green"

I painted the handles, knobs, and hinges with a textured charcoal metalic spray paint... LOVE it! One of our family friends made the top three doors which I painted and then GLAZED the whole thing to make all the details "pop" and tone down the green a bit. Note: I know it's an intense color but I wanted it to be able to go in a little girl or little boy room in the future! :)

Oh and one more little tidbit... I finally decided what to do with the jewelry box that Jeff made for me for Valentines day... I painted it Ivory and glazed it :) You like??

The Bump

Jeff and I haven't been exactly perfect at taking my weekly baby bump pictures, but here are the ones we have taken so far.... and I made the little sign so that I could have something hanging up to remind me where I am in pregnancy. Super fun! :)

At seven weeks! I totally felt like I had a little buldge... but looking back, um yeah not so much! lol

Here I am at 13 weeks... and just for a record, I was just trying on my new maternity swim suit, I don't regularly parade around in this attire!

Week 16 :)

Week 18 :)

Yay! We are almost halfway done! I can't wait to meet our sweet baby girl!

Ladies and Gentlemen....

Just a quick announcement for all my blogger buddies... and a post because it has been FOREVER since I posted on here! (From here on out I will have a lot more to post about!) Jeff and I are going to be PARENTS! Yay! We are so excited for our sweet baby GIRL to arrive at the end of October!  I seriously can't believe how much we love her already and just from watching her at the ultrasound, what a little personality she has! It is amazing!

We went a couple of days ago to find out our little munchkin's gender and it was so much fun! After about 30 minutes and having me lay in 10283717 different positions we finally got her to uncross her little legs and give us a good look. She was sooooo stubborn, or else very proper about letting us see between her little legs. I like to think proper, but we will see when she comes out! We may already have a stubborn little spitfire! Ha ha!

Next step... deciding on a name. This will be a challenge to say the least!

Happy Love Day!

Valentines Day this year was just fabulous!  for those of you who don't know, Jeff is an AWESOME gift giver.. in fact we went to a seminar a few weeks ago and learned about eachothers "love languages"... big suprise gift giving is right up Jeff's alley. I try really, really hard but most of the time he can figure out what I got for him or what my plans are. Apparently  I am not very sneaky. Big suprise! Jeff came home at lunch with a dozen red roses, chocolate (Yay!) and the sweetest card! As I was reading the card he zoomed downstairs and then came back up after a few minutes. hmmm, sneaky! I walked down to get a vase and saw EXACTLY what I have been wanting sitting on the table! He actually made me a jewlery box/shelf! I saw one online and he took the time to make me one... funny thing; he didn't finish the paint because he wasn't sure how I would want it painted and I didn't finish his quilt (I will post a pic when I finish tying and binding it) ... because I needed my grandma's help. We must be made for eachother. We both made a gift for eachother and both left them unfinished.  It's LOVE!
V- Day dinner with the Hubby!

My AWESOME jewelry box and beautiful roses!
